My recent paper on yaoi is now up on the web [yaoi]
My recent paper on yaoi entitled "Theorizing the Comics/Manga genre as a productive forum: Yaoi and beyond" has been made available on the website of Kyoto Seika University International Manga Research Center. (The use of upper and lower case letters and the way such terms as "yaoi" is not italicized is according to the style rules of the volume.)

My essay constitutes the 10th chapter, in the 2nd section.
It is based on the oral presentation at the December 2009 symposium, which was based on the last chapter of my PhD dissertation I wrote in 2008. It's scary that today is already January 9th, 2011.
Time flies, really.
In any case, I still do very much believe in the possibilities of the yaoi community as a productive queer forum as I discuss in this paper. Hope many people will read it.
(I understand this volume will also be published in paper in March 2011. But it seems reasonable that it is also available on the web for free, for the sake of global scholarship.)
